BA in Interdisciplinary Studies EC-6 Education at LeTourneau University
I have studied and worked with children most of my life in many different settings. I have always been motivated by their spontaneity, curiosity, and their desire and ability to learn. When I heard about classical Christian education, I sought it with fervor so that my sons could reap its benefits, which they did from the time they were young until they presented and defended their theses before graduating from high school. At that point, I felt released to pursue my teaching degree and credential, trusting the Lord that one day I would teach at a Christian classical school. I became involved at Covenant Academy through God’s providence at first as a long-term substitute teacher and soon afterwards was asked to teach full time. I am truly blessed to be surrounded daily by like-minded colleagues and by children whom I can teach on the solid foundation of God’s love and provision.
My husband, David, and I have two sons who live in Houston. We love that they still visit and check in often. When I do take the time to relax, it is with friends and scrapbooks or with a bowl of buttered popcorn and a good, clean "romcom."
